Jorge Martin’s representative made a significant move at the Dutch MotoGP in Assen to push forward stalled negotiations with Aprilia.
The goal is to resolve all matters before Martin is expected to return at the Czech GP on the weekend of 20 July.
Talks between Aprilia and Martin are deadlocked, leaving the situation in uncertainty.
If an agreement is not reached, Jorge Martin may not be registered for 2026, as per championship CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta.
The looming possibility of a legal battle could prolong the resolution for over a year.
To avoid court disputes, Martin’s representative is advocating for a Contract Recognition Board (CRB) in MotoGP, similar to what F1 has in place.
The CRB, if implemented, could expedite contract disputes by providing binding decisions from independent sports law experts.
